God is doing amazing things in our day among unreached people worldwide. Read the following update by Joshua Project. Which of these movements stands out to you the most? Explain.
Algeria: There are now conservatively 10,000 converts to Christ among the Kabyle people of northern Algeria. An observer says, "The figure could well be four times that. Many tell us about dreams and visions they've had, confirming the truth about Jesus." Thousands more Kabyle Christians have emigrated to Europe, and increasingly, Kabyle believers are active in evangelism in Europe and Algeria itself.
Israel: In Israel, there are now over 15,000 Jewish followers of Jesus/Yeshua as the Messiah, and the number is growing. In the United States, there are at least 350,000 Jewish followers of Jesus as the Messiah.
Iran: It is estimated that more Iranians have become followers of Christ in the last 35 years than the past 1400 years combined. It is estimated that thousands of Iranians are putting their faith in Jesus Christ each month. However, the oppressive Iranian regime has caused many followers of Jesus to flee the country due to intense persecution. (Iran is said to have the fastest-growing underground church in the world.)
China: China is now the Bible-printing capital of the world. Amity Press, owned by the communist government, has now printed more than 50 million Bibles in 75 languages from Slovak to Swahili to Braille, exporting them to more than 60 countries. Are the Bibles sold in China itself? Yes, anyone can buy a Bible—but only through one of the state-authorized Three-Self Patriotic Movement churches.
Nigeria: Just after the WWI, an Anglican diocese was established in Lagos in Nigeria. Ninety-one years later, it has become the largest active Protestant church body in the world. Much of the growth of the Anglican Church of Nigeria occurred during the last two decades. From 24 dioceses in 1988, the church has grown to 156 dioceses. Every Sunday, the Church of Nigeria gathers 20 million people in worship of Jesus Christ. Despite its largeness, Rt. Rev. Peter Akinola sees the Church of Nigeria growing to half the population of the country. Nigeria has over 150 million people.
Middle east: Muslims are coming to faith in Christ at an unprecedented pace despite intense persecution of those who leave Islam. Missions organizations say radio, television, and Internet-based ministries have been the key. “Probably in the last 15 years,” says one agency, “more Muslims have come to faith in Christ than in the past 15 centuries of Islam.”
India: “The last decade has seen a great escalation of disciple-making and church planting,” reports Dr. Victor Choudhrie, leader of a church planting movement in India. The recent Indian census suggests 3 to 4 percent of the Indian population is Christian. However, Indian ministry leaders think the number is higher, possibly as high as 6 to 7 percent.
Bible Translation: We are now seeing the greatest acceleration of the pace of Bible translation ever witnessed by the church. Currently, Bible translation is actively underway in over 2,250 languages. Vision 2025 is targeting 2025 to begin Bible translation in every language needing translation. At present, over 1,800 languages still need Bible translations to begin.

- “There are six million Badhai [Hindu] people and no known believers among them.”
How can we effectively engage this seemingly overwhelming issue?
- “One way to reach these remaining groups is to send local Asian evangelists. This is Bishnu. He has beautiful feet. He lives in the Himalayas. He preaches, teaches and disciples…He preaches the language perfectly. He understands Hinduism, Buddhism, and animism.”
National (Indigenous) workers already understand the culture, speak the native language, and are adapted to climate and diet. These are the hardest things for international workers to overcome. Want to be part of Bishnu's support team? Simply email him. - What else stood out to you from this video?

- “How amazing it was to think that Jesus was alive. No wonder the missionaries came from halfway across the world to tell the people of India about their God" (Chapter 3).
The fact of the resurrection of Jesus Christ is enough of a reason by itself to bring the gospel to unreached peoples. List several truths about the resurrection that would cause a person to travel half way around the world to share it. Then click the link.
