Read the following information about ministry descriptions before reading about each specific ministry.
- Contextualize the ministry information. The descriptions are suggestive, not prescriptive. It's how ministry can be done, not how it has to be done. It's explained in detail to help those who benefit from that level of description. Modify and apply the information in the manner that best fits your situation.
- Prioritize the ministry information. Arrange the needed ministries in terms of importance and implement them in that order. Don't try and do everything at once. Pace yourself. Do what's most essential first, and move at a rate that reflects your resources and setting.
- Authorize the ministry information. Get buy-in from formal or informal leaders. Formal leaders would include an elected board (Elders, etc.). Informal leaders are those in your congregation who are influencers. People who have great credibility with the others. Get their approval and the implementation process will go much easier than if you don't. Make sure leadership has your back.
