A Push Event is a group of believers who canvass a specific area over a set time frame to find people of peace. These are individuals who welcome prayer, listen to a Bible story, and want to share it with friends and family. These individuals are then followed up by those who made the first contact, teaching them about Discovery Bible Study (DBS) and coaching them to form Discovery Groups. The aim of a Push Event is to ignite the formation of Discovery Groups among those who do not or would not ordinarily attend a local church.

4-5 PM: Celebration: Gather at the original meeting area to share stories while enjoying pizza together.
PREPARATION
Step 1: Read Prayer Walk. Then either begin on your own, contact the person who forwarded this link to you, or reach out to Bob Niemond at (209) 917-0830 to set up a time to go prayer walking. As soon as you learn how to Prayer Walk, begin inviting others to go with you on a weekly Prayer Walks to establish a group that can attend the Push event on October 12th. That said, there will be training the day of the Push event for anyone not yet experienced with Prayer Walk (see above).
Step 2: Read Discovery Bible Study (DBS)
Step 3: Attend Ongoing Coaching.
Either practice on your own, inviting increasing numbers or call Bob Niemond at (209) 917-0830
Step 2: Learn about Discovery Bible Study (DBS). You can do this on your own or at one of the online practice sessions listed here.
The two key preparation elements are training and prayer.
Training: Identify people you can begin training now to become trainers of others in preparation for PUSH. Train by explaining and doing Prayer Walk and DBS with them. How many people show up for PUSH will largely depend on how many people we train now.
Prayer: Begin praying personally, in teams and on monthly PUSH Zoom prayer calls. Set up a reminder each day to pray that PUSH would surface POP. Think of ways to creatively include PUSH prayers into existing group prayer events. Attend the once a month, one hour Zoom PUSH prayer events. Here is the link.
NEEDS
Servant Team: Organize the pickup of Costco pizzas, treats, and supplies (plates, cups, napkins). Handle setup, trash, and cleanup.
