Excerpt from Amy Carmichael: Rescuer of Precious Gems by Janet Benge.
- “For one thing, she would no longer waste time on things that weren’t important in God’s eyes. When all the things she’d done in her life were finally judged by God, she wanted them to be found worthwhile. She wanted them to be seen as gold and silver, not hay and stubble.”
Do we waste time on things that are unimportant to God? Explain.

Answer
Three Words That Change Everything.
He is risen, Luke 24:6
He is risen, Luke 24:6
The resurrection of Jesus Christ changes everything…
- Because it proves he is the Son of God.
...and he [Jesus]was shown to be the Son of God when he was raised from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit. He is Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 1:4 NLT - Because it is essential for saving faith.
If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 NLT - Because it defeats the power of sin and death.
But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:57 (Romans 6:4-11, I Corinthians 15:21-33) - Because it accomplishes justification.
He was handed over to die because of our sins, and he was raised to life to make us right with God. Romans 4:25 - Because it debunks the myth that Jesus was a prophet or teacher.
...Jesus, the man from Nazareth,” they said. “He was a prophet who did powerful miracles, and he was a mighty teacher in the eyes of God and all the people. Luke 24:19 - Because it's made known by God, through the Scriptures.
Suddenly, their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And at that moment he disappeared. They said to each other, “Didn’t our hearts burn within us as he talked with us on the road and explained the Scriptures to us? Luke 24:31-32. - Because it generates a personal story of how he appeared to us.
Then the two from Emmaus told their story of how Jesus had appeared to them as they were walking along the road, and how they had recognized him as he was breaking the bread. Luke 24:35 - Because it causes us to worship God with joyful praise.
So they worshiped him and then returned to Jerusalem filled with great joy. And they spent all of their time in the Temple, praising God. Luke 24:52-53. - Because it's a message to be told by us to the nations.
It was also written that this message would be proclaimed in the authority of his name to all the nations, beginning in Jerusalem: ‘There is forgiveness of sins for all who repent.’ Luke 24:47
Since our past is forgiven, our future is secure and our mission is worthy, we have nothing to loose and everything to risk.
