Go Teams focus on disciple making. They are outward focused. Whereas Group Groups focus more on maturity and can be inward focused. Go Teams are for those passionate about wanting to make disciples who make disciples.
Go Teams have a high degree of accountability. It is expected that people will fulfill their "I will" statements on a weekly basis.
Go Teams become proficient in the use of Discovery Bible Study (DBS) and are very familiar with DBS Facilitator Notes, and DBS Story Sets.
Go Teams have a hard start date. It may prove helpful to start a Go Team at the same time as Grow Groups so people can make a natural transition from one to the other. However, it should be communicated that Go Teams meet for longer than five weeks.
Go Teams do not have hard end dates. In fact, a Go Team may stay in contact with one another for life. They start out meeting weekly, but then gradually transition to meet regularly (every other week/month) then shift to meet on an as needed basis. This occurs naturally as the people in the Go Team become busy making disciples.
Go Teams have extended training and long term mission options built into the main resource they use. Pathway offers secondary training and global options in Steps 3 and 4.
