BASIC BELIEFS
Here's a suggested approach:
Set the Pace and Depth: Decide on the pace that suits your group's preferences and time constraints. If your group prefers in-depth discussions, consider covering one Foundation study per meeting. If time is limited, you may need to move at a quicker pace. Determine whether your group will pick up where they left off in the previous meeting or go as far as time allows in each session.
Choose a Study: Select a study from the available options in the provided box. Ensure it aligns with the interests and needs of your group members.
Discuss a Verse: Begin by choosing a specific verse related to the study topic. Pose a question such as, "What does this verse say about the Holy Spirit?" Encourage participants to share their thoughts and insights. Repeat the same question for multiple verses to deepen the understanding of the topic.
Read the Notes: After discussing the verses, expand the Notes box and read the section. This provides additional context, explanations, and insights into the verses studied. Encourage participants to reflect on how the notes complement or expand their understanding of the verses.
Encourage Thoughtful Answers: Remind participants not to rush in providing answers. Allow for moments of silence to encourage thoughtful reflections. Foster an environment where participants feel comfortable sharing their perspectives on the verses and the study topic.
Remember, the key is to create a collaborative and reflective atmosphere where participants can engage with the material and contribute to the discussion. Adjust the pace and depth based on the dynamics and preferences of your group.
