FOCUS ON GOD'S WORD
God's Word: The primary practice for those involved in disciple-making movements (DMM) is personal engagement with Scripture.
Focus: Consistently reading, obeying, and sharing Scripture is a core practice of disciple makers. While devotionals can be helpful, they are selections of Scripture made by others. Reading the Bible directly allows the Holy Spirit to highlight the words and phrases most needed by the reader. Obedience-based disciple-making is central to DMM, as obedience is the heart language of God. John 14:15.

MULTIPLY EXTRAORDINARY PRAYER
Prayer: In this context, prayer is conversation with God that is focused on disciple making movements (DMM). It is a two way dialogue with God about making disciples who make disciples.
Extraordinary: Extraordinary prayer is simply praying more than you ordinarily go. Around the world, DMM catalysts devote increased time to prayer eventually reaching several hours a week. Begin where you are and gradually add small segments of time.
Multiply: Form a prayer group with one or more people devoted to praying for a disciple making movement. Then form other groups that do the same. A simple template for both individual and group prayer might include the following:

- Watch The Prayer Calendar (2:23)
- Contact List Prayer: This practice involves praying for at least one person from your phone contact list each day, aligning their last name with the corresponding day of the month. Here's how to do it: Start by reaching out to at least one person and ask if they have any specific prayer requests. Pray for their needs and concerns. After praying, let them know that you have prayed for them. This often opens the door to further conversation. Use this opportunity to share your vision and possibly guide them towards training or further spiritual growth. 1-A, 2-B, 3-C, 4-D, 5-E, 6-F, 7-G, 8-H, 9-I, 10-J, 11-K ,12-L, 13-M, 14-N, 15-O, 16-P, 17-Q, 18-R, 19-S, 20-T, 21-U, 22-V, 23-W, 24-X, 25-Y, 26-Z

TRAIN BELIEVERS
Believers: Seek out followers of Jesus who display a holy and healthy discontent, individuals who are eager for a deeper engagement in learning how to make disciples. These believers can be current or former church attendees, holding either non-pastoral or pastoral positions. They are identified by their positive response to invitations to learn more about disciple-making.
Train: Teaching occurs on two fundamental levels. The first level focuses on equipping believers with the basic tools of disciple-making, primarily through Discovery Bible Study (DBS). These tools can be introduced individually, as listed in the Tools dropdown, or as part of a bundled resource like Launch. The second level, known as DMM Training, connects the practical aspects of Launch with the underlying reasons and purposes, providing a comprehensive understanding of disciple-making.

GO OUT AMONG THE LOST
Among the Lost: The lost are everywhere. Multiple studies show that only about 7% of the population have a saving relationship with Jesus Christ, meaning that 93% of the population is not genuinely saved! Alarmingly, this trend is moving in a negative direction, with the percentage of unsaved individuals growing.*
Go Out: The purpose of going out is to find a person of peace—someone who welcomes you, your message, and begins to share stories with their friends and family. There are essentially two ways to go out among the lost: situationally and intentionally. The situational approach is aided by a tool called The FARM Conversation, while the intentional approach is guided by a tool called Prayer Walk.

Many Christians understand the significance of disciple-making, but often struggle with the practical "how-to." GreatCommission.com bridges this gap with resources that provide a roadmap for personal growth and a blueprint for ministries embarking on the disciple-making journey. These resources can be utilized individually in a self-taught format or within a group led by a facilitator. There are two main options:
Level 1: Launch is a multi-session starting resource that focuses on the foundational tools of disciple-making. It emphasizes the "how-to" aspects, equipping individuals with practical skills to begin their disciple-making journey. Level 2: DMM Training is an in-depth, application-oriented, multi-session free training that follows Launch. This training connects the "how-to" of Launch with the "why" behind disciple-making, providing a comprehensive understanding of Disciple Making Movements (DMM). Note: The various tools are also available in a standalone format. Additionally, IMPACT offers a student-led disciple making strategy. |
